He is a movie star, but he is famous for his witty and relaxed motivational speeches. Living a successful career as an actor, what did he say in his graduation speech at a university?

1. Define your own success

What we have to ask ourselves is what success is for us and what success is for you. Maybe it's a happy family or a happy marriage. It helps others become famous or be spiritually sound. It may be something that makes the world a little better than before.

Keep asking that question yourself. The answer can change every time. It's okay, but I hope you do this. Whatever the answer is, don't let your ego shake.

Prioritize who you are and what you want to be. Don't waste your time. Doing something contrary to your personality. Be courageous and set goals. Before answering that question, what is my goal?

 

We must define success on our own. And you have to make an effort to maintain it. I have to record it every day. Treat mine with care. Keep what's important to us in good condition. Where you shouldn't be is as important as where you should be. Likewise, it is important where we should not be. Just like where we're supposed to be right now.


2. Elimination method

The first step in leading to our identity is not usually said, "I know who I am." "I know who I am" is not the first step. The first step is usually "I don't want to be someone." This is a method of erasing. Defining who you don't want to be is the first step in knowing who we are.

Do you know that the people you hang out with aren't always helpful? They talk a lot of bad words and are not proud of themselves. They won't do it for you when it's important. Or what about the bar we always go to? It's a place where you get a really bad hangover. What about the computer screen? The computer screen keeps making excuses. I won't be able to leave the house and go out into a world where real people interact. What do you think of the food we eat? It tastes really good, but the things that make me feel really bad next week. It makes me feel lethargic and fat.

Don't waste any more time and energy on those people, places, things like that.

Don't just go. Quit it. If you quit these things and don't go there, you won't have to spend your time there.
Naturally, you'll find more time and places here. Things that are more helpful to you.

 

This makes you happier. Why? Because you've removed things that are far from your identity. Trust me.

There are too many choices. Many options will ruin all of us. Remove wasted time and reduce options. If this happens, something important will happen to you. In the process of removing unnecessary things. It's hard to know who we are. Take it easy.

Knowing what you don't want to be will know what you want to be. I don't deny your failure. We can learn from failure. Failure is only possible when viewed productively. In the way we see what we're good at and whether we can get better and successful.

Define those people in detail and describe them yourself. And look for the one that's the farthest from it. What I don't want to be and what's farthest can be what I really want.

As he said, life is not easy. However, there may be better choices and judgments in life that are not easy.
If the life placed on you has a level of difficulty of 10, those who find their own principles and rules in a difficult life and live comfortably and easily will feel the pain around 3 or 5. On the other hand, there are people who are always obsessed with complicated thoughts and have a hard time living. These people live their lives in a difficult way and rather live with 20 or 30 pain. It is the mind that sets the standard.
